Look Up

Hello Friends,

Today is a FANTASTIC day and I can’t wait to get it started! I talked to a good mentor yesterday and heard very inspired words that confirmed my need to keep trying. I started a food and exercise journal a few weeks ago and it lasted about that long, haha. I got bored of it, BUT then I decided I needed to try it again. Boredom is not an excuse to quit!

Today is the day to start this awesomeness, once again. I also have the opportunity to be a ‘Lead Student’ this week in class. I basically lead the discussion and stand in place as the teacher. In addition to this exciting expansion of my talents, I have a devotional to prepare and give (a mini lesson for my religion class). In the same class, I have an essay to write. All of this is due or happening this Thursday! Aghh!

Another great thing that happened yesterday was at church, as well. A sister was there for her last Sunday. She was asked to go up and bear her testimony. She said she was excited about who she had become while she was there. The reason for this was because she looked up. She wasn’t as bothered by things pertaining to herself, but she was more concerned about others and their well-being. She was concerned with what God thought. When she said this I knew I had to be better. Not for her, not for anyone…just ME.

I know as I strive to do what is right in Heavenly Father’s eyes, I will be blessed with the companionship of the Spirit. I know He is rooting for me, so I should be too.
